Pittsfield Grad Donati Named League's Rookie of the Week

BOSTON — University at Albany freshman Kevin Donati has been named the America East Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

The Pittsfield native hit .333 for the week and had a .444 on-base percentage with games against CCSU and America East opponent Hartford. Donati totaled five hits, six runs, three RBIs and five stolen bases in four games last week. He went 2-for-4 in Saturday’s win against Hartford, with two RBIs and two runs scored. As the starting shortstop for the Great Danes, Donati made 11 assists and two putouts.

UAlbany (7-10, 1-2) returns to the field this weekend with a single game against Fairfield on Friday and a doubleheader against Harvard on Sunday.
