Monument Mountain Rallies Past Eagles

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Jack Bissaillon drove home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fourth as the Monument Mountain baseball team came back for a 7-5 win over Mount Everett on Monday.
 
The Spartans trailed, 5-4, going to the fourth.
 
Cam Raifstanger started the game-winning rally with a leadoff single. He stole second ahead of a Jared Raifstanger walk and came home on a Cole Bissaillon RBI single.
 
Jared Raifstanger went to second on Cole Bissaillons’s hit and scored when Jack Bissaillon hit a line drive to left.
 
Cam Raifstanger went 3-for-4 in a nine-hit Monument Mountain attack.
 
Owen Wade earned the win on the mound with 4 innings of work, allowing five runs, three earned. Peter Free struck out six in three innings of scoreless relief to get the save.
 
Mount Everett’s Nathaniel Von Ruden went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, and Ben Shannon drove in two runs.
 
Hunter DeGrenier and Connor Boardman split time on the mound for Mount Everett, combining to strike out five and allow five earned runs.
 
Mount Everett (3-3) hosts Mahar on Wednesday.
 
Monument Mountain (3-0) is scheduled to go to Ludlow on Tuesday.
