Monument Mountain Baseball Shuts Out Drury

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Monument Mountain's Stephen Smith struck out four and allowed one hit in five innings to earn a 5-0 win over Drury on Monday.

 

Jackson Blanchard doubled, and Marco Buffoni went 1-for-3 and scored twice for the Spartans.

 

Monument Mountain broke the game open with a three-run fifth inning to take a five-run lead.

 

Sam Cormier and Kyle Gotchey each pitched an inning of scoreless relief.

 

Jeffrey Adams doubled, and Ben Moulton had a hit for Drury (1-5), which goes to Burr & Burton next Monday.

 

Monument Mountain (3-3) hosts Palmer on Wednesday.
