Mount Greylock Baseball Outslugs West Springfield

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Mount Greylock baseball team on Monday scored six runs in the first inning on the way to a 13-6 win over West Springfield.
 
Eric Hirsch, Delaney Pudvar and Jesse DiLego each had three hits in a 17-hit attack for the Mounties (8-1), who held the visitors to one run through four innings, got a scare in the fifth when West Springfield closed within 9-6 and then added four more.
 
Andrew Rickus drove in five runs for the Mounties.
 
Eli Holland and Adam Hall split time on the mound in the victory.
 
Mount Greylock hosts Mount Everett on Tuesday.
