South Deerfield Baseball Team Downs Wahconah

SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. – Tyler Baranoski struck out nine in five innings of work to pitch Frontier Regional to an 11-5 win over Wahconah on Monday.

 

Frontier built an 8-0 lead before Wahconah scored its first runs of the year in the sixth inning.

 

Matt Kinser doubled and drove in three runs in the loss. Drew Wendling went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

 

Ben West, Braedyn Melle and Charlie Wendell combined to allow eight earned runs.

 

Wahconah (0-1) goes to Monson on Friday.
