Wahconah Rallies Past Drury in Seventh
DALTON, Mass. -- Will Genaway and Ben Schmitt scored on a one-out error in the bottom of the seventh to complete Wahconah’s 3-2, come-from-behind victory over Drury on Thursday afternoon.
Wahconah (9-6) trailed 2-0 after the first inning and trailed by the same score going to the seventh.
After Cam Taylor led off with an infield single, Schmitt drew a walk. An error on Genaway’s bunt attempt sent Taylor home and left runners at second and third.
After Drury’s Ryan Dubie got the next man to strike out, Ty Cowdrey hit a ball to the left side that produced the error that brought home the tying and winning runs.
Kody Crosier drove in both runs for Drury (6-8), which hosts Pittsfield on Saturday at Joe Wolfe Field.
Wahconah goes to Monument Mountain on Saturday.
