Kirchner Leads Wahconah Baseball Past Drury
DALTON, Mass. -- Kyle Kirchner went the distance on the mound and hit a double and a home run at the plate to lead the Wahconah baseball team to an 8-5 win over Drury on Thursday.
Wahconah (13-3) fell behind 4-0 early but pulled out to an 8-4 lead with a five-run fifth inning.
Andrew Beaudoin had three hits, and Marco Anastasio had a pair of hits for Wahconah. Kirchner drove in two runs to help his cause.
Jake Tatro had three hits and went seven innings on the mound for the Blue Devils (10-6).
Drury has dropped three in a row since clinching a post-season berth with a win over Pittsfield. The Blue Devils will look to turn that around on Saturday in a double-header against Monument Mountain that starts at 10 a.m.
Wahconah travels to Pittsfield to take on Taconic on Saturday afternoon.
