Genaway Pitches Wahconah Past Commerce

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Ben Schmitt and Ty Cowdrey drove in runs with sacrifice flies in the third inning to send the Wahconah baseball team on its way to an 11-0 win over Commerce on Wednesday.

 

Will Genaway struck out five and walked none while scattering five hits in six innings of work.

 

Marco Anastasio came on to finish up the seventh.

 

Ryan Washburn went 2-for-2 at the plate for Wahconah (6-2), which plays at St. Joseph on Thursday.
