Frontier Comes Back, Holds Off Wahconah Baseball

DALTON, Mass. – Frontier’s Wyatt Edes hit an RBI double in the top of the eighth inning to hand Wahconah a heart-breaking 4-3 loss on Monday.
 
Wahconah scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to erase a 2-0 lead only to see the visitors score a run on a pitch to the backstop in the top of the seventh to tie it.
 
In the bottom of the seventh, Frontier got out of a bases-loaded, two-out jam with a ground ball to strand three. 
 
In the bottom of the eighth, Wahconah loaded the bases again but Frontier pitcher Aiden Heffernan got a fly ball out to end the game.
 
Colby Robb went the distance on the mound for Wahconah, striking out two and allowing three earned runs.
 
James Rabuse went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs to lead Wahconah’s offense.
 
Wahconah (10-7) goes to Amherst-Pelham on Thursday.
