Matrigali Leads Hoosac Valley into Western Mass Semis

SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. -- Noah Matrigali went the distance on the mound and went 3-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored to lead the Hoosac Valley baseball team to a 3-1 win over Frontier on Monday in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament.

 

John Krol also tripled and Sam Larabee doubled for the sixth-seeded Hurricanes (14-7).

 

Matrigali struck out eight while allowing two hits, a walk and no earned runs to earn the victory on the mound.

 

Hoosac Valley will face second-seeded Wahconah (15-6) in the sectional semi-finals.
