Frontier Tops Hoosac Valley in Western Mass Semis

AMHERST, Mass. -- Bailey Powers doubled twice for Frontier in an 8-2 win over Hoosac Valley on Wednesday in the Western Massachusetts Division 3 quarter-finals.

 

Frontier jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first two innings and led 8-0 before the Hurricanes (14-9) got on the board. Dahndray Sistrunk and Keagan McGrath each drove in a run for Hoosac Valley.

 

Matt Koperniak gave up five earned runs in five innings of work before McGrath took the hill to pitch a scoreless sixth.

 

Frontier moves on to Saturday’s sectional final against Wahconah.
