Matrigali Leads Hoosac Valley Baseball Team Past Wahconah

DALTON, Mass, -- Noah Matrigali went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs at the plate and struck out seven in 5-⅔ innings of work on the mound to lead the Hoosac Valley baseball team to an 8-6 win over Wahconah on Thursday.

Jake Swistak went 2-for-4 and scored a run, and Chris Larabee went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs for the Hurricanes (2-5), who host St. Joseph on Saturday morning.

Wahconah’s Matt Schneider went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Ty Cowdrey had a pair of hits.

Wahconah (3-4) hosts Manchester, Vt.’s, Burr and Burton on Saturday.
