Taconic Shuts Out Westfield

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Matt Lee struck out 12 and allowed just two hits in a complete-game effort Tuesday as the Taconic baseball team beat Westfield, 10-0.

 

Damon Pause went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double and three RBIs for the Thunder, which put the game away with a five-run top of the seventh.

 

Lee helped his cause at the plate with a double and a pair of walks. Evan Blake went 2-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs.

 

Nick Guachione tripled, and Antonio Scalise doubled in a nine-hit Taconic attack.

 

The Thunder (3-0) goes to Pope Francis on Wednesday.
