Christopher's Double Helps Taconic Stop Chicopee Comp in Sixth

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Quentin Christopher Wednesday hit a two-out, two-run double in the top of the sixth to help Taconic score six runs in the inning and put away a 10-0, six-inning win over Chicopee Comp.

 

Christian Salzarulo went 3-for-4 with a double. Matt Lee and Evan Blake each had a pair of hits in an 11-hit attack for the Thunder.

 

Damon Pause earned the win on the mound, striking out eight while allowing two walks and a hit in five innings of work.

 

Blake finished the game in the sixth, striking out one in a 1-2-3 inning.

 

Taconic (2-0) goes to Westfield on Tuesday.
