Taconic Rolls to Big Win in Opener on Road

WILBRAHAM, Mass. – Bo Bramer went 3-for-5 with a triple on Monday to lead the Taconic baseball team to a 15-2 win over Minnechaug as the Thunder began their defense of last year’s state championship in convincing fashion.

 

Antonio Scalise and Nick Guachione each doubled for Taconic, which effectively ended the game with a seven-run sixth inning to take a 15-1 lead.

 

Matt Lee, Adam Lazits and Sam Sherman combined to strike out 10 and allow no earned runs on the mound.

 

Taconic (1-0) goes to Holyoke on Wednesday.
