Taconic High Seeking JV Baseball Coach

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Taconic High School is seeking applicants for the position of junior varsity baseball coach for the Spring 2022 season.

 

The successful candidate for this paid position will be responsible for providing leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes. Ability to teach fundamentals of baseball, including playing rules and game strategies is required. 

 

Excellent communications skills, ability to work effectively with varsity coach, and a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the school are expected. 

 

Professionalism, effective player-coach communication skills, and ability to build positive rapport amongst players, coaching staff, and stakeholders is expected.

 

Strong emphasis put on developing player’s baseball knowledge and preparing them for competing at the varsity level.

 

Additional responsibilities of the position include conducting well-organized practices, complying with MIAA rules, and completing MIAA required coaching workshops.

 

Experience as coach at the high school level is preferred, but not required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

 

Season traditionally operates from late March through early June.
