Womble 5-for-5 in Taconic's Road Win

LUDLOW, Mass. -- Christian Womble went 5-for-5 with a double, drove in a pair of runs and stole three bases Saturday to lead the Taconic baseball team to a 15-2 win over Ludlow.

 

Anton Lazits went the distance on the mound, striking out seven and allowing three hits and no earned runs.

 

Brendan Stannard went 2-for-3 and scored three times, and Leo Arace doubled and drove in three runs in an 11 hit Taconic attack.

 

Taconic (12-1) plays Wahconah on Tuesday in Cooperstown, N.Y.
