Taconic Baseball Makes Short Work of Smith Academy

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Anton Lazits went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs Saturday to help the Taconic baseball team beat Smith Academy, 15-0, in five innings.

 

Brendan Stannard got a complete-game win on the mound, striking out four and scattering four hits. And Stannard helped his cause with a double, a triple and four RBIs.

 

Christian Womble went 2-for-3 with a double, and Leo Arace was 2-for-3 in a 14-hit Taconic attack.

 

Taconic (8-0) goes to Southwick on Tuesday.
