Womble, Rose Power Taconic to Win on the Cape

HARWICH, Mass. -- Christian Womble hit a triple and a double and four RBIs, and Cedric Rose struck out 10 Friday to lead the Taconic baseball team to a 22-0 win over Cape Cod Tech.

 

Ryan Gaudette went 4-for-6 with two RBIs, and Dylan Burke went 3-for-5 with a double and five RBIs. Taconic (2-0) broke the game open with an eight-run seventh inning.

 

Austin Rachiele went 3-for-6 and stole a base.

 

Rose allowed just one hit and four walks in the victory.

 

Taconic stays on the Cape Saturday to face Wellesley.
