Westfield Baseball Edges Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Nicholas Lenfrest went 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs Saturday to lead the Westfield baseball team to a 5-2 win over Taconic.

 

Andre Phaneuf struck out eight and scattered five hits in a complete-game effort on the mound as the Bombers earned a regular season split with the Thunder.

 

Eddie Ferris doubled in a run, and Connor Paronto went 1-for-3 with an RBI for Taconic.

 

Paronto also went six innings on the mound, striking out three and allowing four runs but just one earned run.

 

Taconic (9-4) hosts Monument Mountain on Monday.
