Kreis Hits Slam as Mount Everett Tops McCann Tech

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Mount Everett’s Jacob Kreis Friday hit a grand slam to highlight a 17-0 win over McCann Tech.
 
Kreis went 2-for-4 with five RBIs in a 14-hit attack for the Eagles.
 
J.J. Schneider had a strong day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Brodie Kinnna, Sean Warren and Matt Snyder each had a pair of hits.
 
“Great day at the plate and on the mound,” Mount Everett coach Dan Lanoue said. “We hit the ball well from the start, hitting through the order in the first two innings.
 
“Matt Lowe pitched four strong innings, giving up one hit and striking out nine.”
 
Lowe turned the ball over to Kinna, who struck out two in a scoreless fifth inning to end the game.
 
Dylan Turner and Brodie Smith each had a hit for McCann Tech (0-2), which hosts Drury on Tuesday.
 
Mount Everett (2-0) hosts Lenox on Tuesday.
