WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Mount Everett baseball team Friday swept St. Mary’s in a double-header to finish the regular season with a record of 10-9.

“We played a great couple of games today,” Mount Everett coach Dan Lanoue said. “Matt [Lowe] was great on the mound in the first game and Sean [Warren] did the same in the second game. We had a great approach at the plate today, many guys with multiple hits on the day. Also, defensively we did not commit an error on the day.

“Proud of our guys for clinching a spot in the state tournament.”

In the opener, a rescheduled home game for the Eagles, Lowe allowed two runs and struck out three in four innings of work to get the 13-2 win on the mound.

Warren went 4-for-4 at the plate, and Heyden Cutlip was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs in a 17-hit attack for the Eagles.

In Game 2, Warren struck out four and allowed no earned runs in four innings on the mound to get a 6-1 win.
