Weber Ks 16 as McCann Tech Tops Drury
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- McCann Tech’s Ozzie Weber struck out 16 Friday in a complete-game, 6-1 win over Drury at Joe Wolfe Field.
Weber walked just three and scattered four hits in the win.
Noah DeBenedetto paced the Hornets’ offense by going 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI. Chase Vander-Woude and Omar Uqhda each went 2-for-3; Vander-Woude drove in a pair of runs, and Uqhda stole a pair of bases.
Andrew Pettengill went 2-for-3 for the Blue Devils, who got six innings on the mound from Nicholas Lescarbeau. Lescarbeau struck out four and allowed just four earned runs.
Drury (4-7) hosts Lee on Saturday night.
McCann Tech (8-3) takes a four-game winning streak into Monday’s game against Smith Vocational.
