Chen Leads McCann Tech Baseball in Road Win

HUNTINGTON, Mass. -- Justin Chen went 3-for-4 with a double Thursday to lead the McCann Tech baseball team to a 21-1, five-inning win over Gateway.

 

Chen drove in a pair of runs and scored three times in the win.

 

Omar Uqdah, Keaton West, Noah DeBenedetto and Nick Gilman each had a pair of hits for the Hornets.

 

Four McCann Tech pitchers split time on the mound. Colin Booth earned the win with two innings of work. Booth struck out four and walked none.

 

Chase Vander-Woude, Gilman and Seth Farnsworth each pitched an inning of scoreless relief.

 

McCann Tech (2-1) hosts Smith Vocational on Tuesday.
