Ferrara Leads McCann Tech Baseball Past Pathfinder

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The McCann Tech baseball team Thursday pounded out seven doubles and two triples in a 14-2 win over Pathfinder at Joe Wolfe Field.

 

Mike Ferrara went 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, and Logan Tower was 3-for-5 with a double and two runs batted in. Robert Matte III drove in three runs and tripled in a 2-for-5 day.

 

Matte also pitched an inning of hitless relief, striking out two. Jeremy Beany earned the win with five innings of work. Mike Ferrara threw one inning on the mound.

 

McCann Tech (17-2) has one game left to finish, a suspended game it was leading, 6-0, in the fourth against Pioneer Valley Christian, in addition to the State Voc tournament and the Western Mass tournament.
