McCann Baseball Team Rallies Past Lee

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Connor Guyette went 2-for-4 with a double and scored four times Wednesday to lead the McCann Tech baseball team to a 9-6 win over Lee.

 

The Hornets rallied from a 4-2 deficit after two innings and a 6-5 deficit midway through the fourth.

 

In the bottom of the fourth, Guyette doubled in a run and Robert Matte III hit a sacrifice fly to help McCann score three and take the lead for good.

 

Mason Field earned the win, striking out 10 and allowing two earned runs in seven innings of work.

 

Andrew Ruef doubled, scored twice and drove in a run for the Wildcats (4-6), who host Duggan on Saturday morning.

 

McCann Tech (8-3) takes a four-game winning streak into Thursday’s game at Smith Vocational.
