Taconic's Matt Lee Shuts Out Lee in First Varsity Start

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Matt Lee struck out nine and earned a shutout in his first varsity start as the Taconic baseball team beat Lee, 14-0, in five innings on Thursday.

 

Sam Sherman went 3-for-3 with a triple and five runs batted in to lead Taconic's offense. Nick Guachione and Lee also tripled.

 

Nick Harrington, Anton Lazits, Brendan Stannard, Evan Blake and Leo Arace each doubled.

 

Taconic (5-0) hosts Hoosac Valley on Friday.
