Wojtkowski Sparks Mounties in Road Win
LEE, Mass. -- Cole Wojtkowski stole two bases and scored on Jack Milne’s single to center to break a 3-3 tie in the top of the seventh as Mount Greylock beat Lee, 4-3, on Thursday afternoon.
Mount Greylock led, 3-0, before the Wildcats charged back with five in the bottom of the fifth.
The game-winning rally started when Eli Ostheimer drew a one-out walk. Wojtkowski came in as a pinch runner, and, after drawing two throws over to first, stole second and third.
With two out, Milne drove in the go-ahead run.
Brandon Condon pitched his second inning of scoreless relief in the bottom of the seventh to secure the one-run win.
Condon struck out two and walked one while allowing just one hit. Josh Jezouit started and lasted 4-⅓, allowing two runs. Adam Hall gave up an unearned run in finishing up the fifth.
Condon also drove in a pair of runs for the Mounties (6-3), who got a double from Cal Messina.
Devyn Olds drove in two runs for the Wildcats, who got three innings on the mound from Sean McLaughlin before Tom Fraser went the rest of the way.
Mount Greylock hosts Pittsfield on Saturday afternoon.
