Lenox Boys, Girls Place First at Bousquet
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Lenox boys Alpine ski team was the only team to have four racers finish below 50 seconds, and that depth was the key to the Millionaires’ win in Wednesday’s giant slalom at Bousquet.
Andrew King was the top Lenox finisher with a time of 44.98 seconds to place sixth.
The Millionaires also got scoring times from Paul Curtil in seventh (45.04) and Max DiGrigoli (45.58) and Zach Suffish (48.09) in ninth and 13th, respectively.
Lenox’s four-racer combined time of 183.69 seconds was just less than a second ahead of Pittsfield’s 184.64. The Generals were led by David Mansfield, who placed third in 43.45.
The top two boys finishers were Wahconah’s Tanner Hill and Kyle Brogan, who finished in 41.57 and 42.69, respectively.
On the girls side, Lenox’s Ella King won the individual title and led her team to victory with a run of 43.15. The Millionaires’ four scorers -- King, Hani Chung (44.54), Taylor Knight (45.03) and Abby Kate Caproni (46.24) each placed in the top five.
Only Monument Mountain’s Micaela Bartlett broke up Lenox’s run with a fourth-place showing in 45.46.
