Lenox Girls, Boys Go 3-0 at Lee
LEE, Mass. – Nora Schoeny led a sweep of the top five places for the Lenox girls cross country team, which went 3-0 in dual meets on Wednesday at Lee High.
Schoeny crossed the finish line in 22 minutes, 11 seconds, one second ahead of teammate Gianna Love. Leah Basnet, Fiona Ward and Halle Koenig finished third through fourth, respectively, for the Millionaires.
Wahconah’s girls fell to Lenox but picked up wins over Taconic and host Lee.
Megan Tucker and Matty Beatty led Wahconah with finishes in 10th and 11th place, respectively.
Lee’s girls got a win over the Thunder behind a sixth-place finish from Ava Lopez.
Lenox’s boys also went 3-0 in duals on Wednesday, but Wahconah pushed the Millionaires.
Ben Harwood and Samuel Gellar led Lenox, placing first and second, respectively. Harwood finished in 17:49, 31 seconds ahead of Gellar.
Wahconah took positions five through seven in the four-team meet with Fritz Sanders placing fifth, ahead of teammates Cadighan Gladu and Lake Drieu.
The grouping helped Wahconah edge Taconic in their dual by the day’s closest score, 27-30. The Thunder was led by Collin Norton, who placed third overall.
