LENOX, Mass. – Alex Fuster and Alexander Kolean dropped two games between them at first and second singles Friday to lead the Lenox boys tennis team to a 5-0 win over Mount Greylock in the first round of the Division 4 State Tournament.

The doubles tandems of Juan Manrique/Aydan Shove and Devin Smits/Aiden Tran completed the sweep for the sixth-seeded Millionaires (12-3), who advance to the Round of 16 to face No. 11 Mystic Valley Regional Charter, a 5-0 winner over Westport on Friday.

Mount Greylock finishes the season with a record of 5-10, including three losses to Lenox.

“The boys went from one win last year to five wins this year and probably a few more if Max [Wied] did not get hurt,” Mount Greylock coach John Jacobbe said. “Great experience for our group of middle schoolers to play in the state tournament and we have a bright future if everyone sticks with it.”
