Lenox Boys, Girls Beat Mount Greylock

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Katie Shove outlasted her opponent for a singles win, and Lenox’s No. 1 doubles tandem gutted out a win to lead the Millionaires to a 4-1 win over Mount Greylock on Tuesday afternoon.

 

Lenox’s boys also beat the Mounties, 4-1, behind straight-set singles wins from Alex Fuster and Alexander Kolean at Nos. 1 and 3, respectively.

 

At second singles, Shove defeated Emily Ouellette, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. And at first doubles, the Lenox team of Nicky Illingworth and Caroline Kump prevailed, 6-1, 6-7(7-1), 7-5.

 

Mount Greylocks’ girls got a point from Mia Patrick at first singles. She remained undefeated on the season with a 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).

 

Mount Greylock’s boys got a point from Max Wied at No. 2.

 

The Mounties’ girls host Minnechaug on Friday.

 

Lenox is at Mount Everett on Friday.
