Lenox Girls Sweep Doubles, Top Pittsfield

LENOX, Mass. – The Lenox girls tennis team Wednesday earned four straight-set wins to take a 4-1 victory from Pittsfield.

 

The No. 1 doubles team of Nicole Illingsworth and Katie Shove were pushed in the first set before prevailing, 6-4, 6-1.

 

Pittsfield picked up its point at first singles, where Makayla Wax earned a 6-1, 6-2 win over Rory Lenehan.

 

Lenox (1-1) hosts Monument Mountain on Monday.
