Mohawk Trail Volleyball Downs Lenox

BUCKLAND, Mass. -- Kelsey Kirchner had five kills for the Lenox volleyball team in a three-set loss to Mohawk Trail in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class D tournament.

 

Emily Barenski had 11 digs and a pair of aces in the 25-19, 25-20, 25-23 decision.

 

"Lenox had a tough time with its serve-receive," coach Steve Laurin said. "[Mohawk Trail] had a few strong servers, and we just couldn't get the ball to Kelly [Nicotra] so she could work her magic."

 

Nicotra did have six assists, and Charlie Keator and Sai Meesala each finished with three kills.
