Lenox Boys, Girls Victorious on Bousquet
PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Madison DiGrigoli and Molly Knight finished 1-2 Wednesday to lead the Lenox ski team to victory at Bousquet Mountain.
DiGrigoli led the way with a time of 46.19 seconds on the slalom course.
Knight was just behind in 47.69, the only other girl to break 50 seconds.
Lenox’s boys also won the team competition behind a first-place finish from Max DiGrigoli, who crossed the line in 42.78.
Lenox’s boys also got a fourth-place finish from Oliver Kirby (48.54) and an eighth-place showing from Michael Piretti (50.61).
Pittsfield’s Charlie Heimann was second in 45 seconds flat to lead the Generals to a second-place team finish.
Monument Mountain’s Kitson Stover placed third in 48.30, sneaking just in front of Lenox’s Kirby.
Wahconah’s boys got a fifth-place finish from Vincent Scalise (48.57), and Taconic’s Shamus Gaherty was sixth in 49.48.
Pittsfield’s girls also placed second in the team standings. Grace Ungewitter led the Generals, finishing fourth in 53.59. Pittsfield’s Lena Ungewitter and Bella Penna were sixth and seventh, respectively.
Monument Mountain was led by Emma Soule, who placed third in 50.29 to help the Spartans place third in the team standings.
Taconic’s girls placed fourth behind Samatha Slocik (70.78). Ella Scalise (64.02) led Wahconah’s girls.
