Bachman Leads Sweep for Lenox Girls at Mount Everett

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Freshman Ava Bachman led a sweep of the top four places for Lenox in Wednesday’s cross country race at Mount Everett.

 

Bachman crossed the line in 21 minutes, 34.30 seconds, 27 seconds ahead of teammate Grace Elliott. Millionaires Ellen Huth and Alice Culver then came home before Taconic’s Ahliya Phillips clocked a time of 24:43.44 to place fifth.

 

Lenox’s girls were scoring against the host Eagles, picking up an easy win with Mount Everett not able to post a team score.

 

Monument Mountain’s girls had a tougher time in their two dual meets but still earned wins against Taconic and Lee.

 

Monument’s Eliza Philip led the Spartans with a time of 25:43.82 to place eighth and ensure a 24-31 win over Taconic.

 

Lee was led by senior Olivia Johnson, who finished sixth in 25:04.04.

 

Monument Mountain’s boys also picked up a pair of dual wins on Wednesday, topping Taconic and Lee.

 

Diego Salinetti outkicked Taconic’s Jacob Paris to take first in the boys race by a margin of less than two seconds. Salinetti crossed the finish line in 18:06.67, just ahead of Paris in 18:08.21.

 

Salinetti was joined in the top four by teammates Peter Larochelle and Keegan Lynch.

 

Cole Duval placed fifth for the hosts in a time of 18:58.68, but Mount Everett lost its dual meet against Lenox.

 

The Millionaires were paced by Max Adam (19:07.72) and Colin Young in sixth and seventh places, respectively.

 

Lee’s Zach Bianco cracked the top 20, coming in 19th in 21:16.07.
