Mount Greylock Boys, Girls Sweep Duals
WILLIAMSTOWN -- Tristan Collins and Andre Collins finished first and second in the javelin to help the Lenox boys track and field team earn a two-point dual-meet win over Hoosac Valley on Saturday.
Four teams competed in a series of duals at Williams College, where host Mount Greylock picked up three wins in girls' and boys' meets.
The closest dual meet of the day was between the Millionaires and Hurricanes on the boys side, where Lenox won, 62-60.
Spencer Villinski also picked up a win for the Lenox boys with a time of 18.01 seconds in the 110 meter hurdles.
Taconic's girls also earned a narrow win, edging Lenox, 72-69.
Taconic's Lily Lobovits won the shot put with a mark of 30 feet, 3.75 inches. Aliyah Bolling won the triple jump (33-0) and placed second in the
long jump, 100 and 200.
Mount Greylock's Madison Ross won the 100 (13.14), 200 (27.18), high jump (5-8) and long jump (17-11).
The 4-8 in the high jump was a school record for Ross.
Hoosac Valley's girls had a double winner in Shaleigh Levesque, who took the javelin (98-9) and the 400 hurdles (1:14.49).
Mount Greylock's boys had two double winners: Theo Sandstrom won the 200 (25.29) and 400 (56.11); Josh Cheung won the 800 (2:11.43) and 1600 (4.56.76).
Taconic's Josh Tayi took the high jump (5-6) and triple jump (39-2).
Hoosac Valley's shot putters swept the top three spots on the boys side, where Dominic Acquista (42-3), Nolan Roberts and Joe Delmolino finished 1-2-3.
