Pittsfield, Taconic Golf Teams Top Drury

STAMFORD, Vt. -- Michael Kays and Ross Omelenchuck each carded an even-par 36 on Friday at Stamford Valley Golf Course to lead the Taconic High golf team to a 157-194 win over Drury.

 

Tim Curry finished at 39, and Connor Champoux scored with a 46 as Taconic improved to 6-0 and 2-0 in the Berkshire North.

 

Kays recorded birdies on three par-4s, the fifth, sixth and eighth holes.

 

Drury also played a dual match against Pittsfield on Friday.

 

The Generals got a 36 from Ricky Berrian to lead the way in a 149-194 win over the Blue Devils.

 

Kevin Quinto finished with a 1-over 37, and Jake Driscoll and Alex Parsons turned in matching 38s for Pittsfield (2-2, 1-1).

 

Drury (1-4, 0-3) was led by Jude Collins with a 47.

 

Drury travels to Mount Greylock on Tuesday, when Taconic goes to Wahconah and Pittsfield plays at St. Joseph.
