Pittsfield Girls, Wahconah Boys Earn Dual Meet Wins
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Kiera Devine, Emily Bradford and Jackie Roccabrunna each won a pair of events Friday to lead the Pittsfield girls swim team to a 57-32 win over Wahconah at the Boys and Girls Club.
In the boys meet, Wahconah's depth prevailed as it pulled out a 33-22 win over the Generals.
Pittsfield's girls took first in each event on the way to the team win.
Devine won the 200-meter individual medley in 2 minutes, 33.97 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:10.00.
Bradford 100 breaststroke in 1:19.97 and swam to an uncontested win in the 500 freestyle in 5:58.56.
Roccabrunna won the 100 free in 59.72 and the 100 backstroke in 1:10.52.
Pittsfield's boys got a pair of wins from Asa Chard, who took first in the 50 free (26.12) and 10 back (1:14.63).
Three different Wahconah boys earned wins.
Aiden Aldrich took the 200 free (2:49.19). Evan Strout won the 100 free (1:12.91). And Liam Looney touched first in the 100 breaststroke (1:29.94).
