Harrington, Archey Lead Pittsfield Harriers to Victories
LEE, Mass.-- Kellie Harrington beat the field by 3-1/2 minutes Saturday to lead the Pittsfield girls cross country team to a 21-37 win over Lee in the season-opener for both squads.
Harrington crossed the finish line in 20 minutes, 10.53 seconds.
Runner-up Brianna Kelly finished in 23:43.06 for the Wildcats.
The Pittsfield girls then took the next four places with Sydney Ferris, Meredith McCandless, Grace Ungerwitter and Tess McCluskey finishing up the scoring.
Pittsfield's boys also won their dual meetin, 22-34, behind a 1-2-3 finish from John Archey (19:44.98), Asa Chard and David Babineau.
The first non-General across the finish line was Lee's Zach Bianco in 20:18.57.
Lee hosts Taconic next Saturday while Pittsfield goes to Hoosac Valley.
