Tinker, Cunningham Lead Monument Golfers to Needed Win

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Dylan Tinker and Jackson Cunningham carded rounds of 44 on Monday at Wyantenuck Country Club to lead the Monument Mountain golf team to a 180-183 win over Lenox that kept the Spartans in contention for a Western Massachusetts tournament berth.

 

Matthew Iemolini (46) and Max Joyner (47) scored for Monument, which needs a win over St. Joseph on Tuesday in order to qualify for the sectional tournament.

 

Matt Shields earned medalist honors with a 41 to lead Lenox, which got a 46 from Max DiGrigoli and 48s from a trio of players: Noah Hunter, Ricky Armstrong and Zach Zurrin.
