Monument Girls, Wahconah Boys Ski to Victories
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Alex Sternerup placed second in Monday night’s slalom to lead the Wahconah boys Alpine team to a first-place finish at Bousquet.
Sternerup clocked a time of 35.27 seconds, just a hair behind first-place Noah Kirby of Lenox, who crossed the finish line in 35:20.
Sternerup was backed up by teammates Dominic Scalise and Fritz Sanders, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Lenox finished second in the team standings with Monument in third. The Spartans were led by Sam Schroder, who finished sixth with a time of 39.31.
In Monday’s girls slalom, Lenox’s Madison Digrigoli placed first for the second straight week, this time finishing in 33.61. She helped the MIllionaires place second in the team standings.
Monument Mountain won the team competition. Bridget Stephen (36.58) led the Spartans with a third-place schowing. Emma Soule and Olivia Ruggiero placed fourth and fifth for Monument.
Wahoncah’s girls finished third behind a sixth-place finish from Kelly Anderson (42.54).
