Monument Mountain Boys, Girls Swim to Victories in Vermont

BENNINGTON, Vt. -- Asa Stone and Aubrey Blanchard were double winners Friday to lead the Monument Mountain girls swimming team to a 125-44 win over Mount Anthony Union.

 

The Monument boys also had a successful sojourn north, taking a 117-51 win back down Route 7.

 

Blanchard took first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1 minute, 7.79 seconds and won the 100 breaststroke (1:18.77).

 

Stone won the 200 individual medley in 2:24.61 and the 100 back in 1:05.62.

 

Nick Dillon and Harry Albert were double winners for the Monument boys.

 

Dillon won the 100 butterfly (:59.97) and the 200 IM (2:16.15). Albert won the 200 free (2:04.94) and 500 free (5:35.67).

 

Monument Mountain goes to Pittsfield to face Wahconah on Wednesday.
