St. Joe Girls, Pittsfield Boys Win
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Elzabeth Bernardy and Jesse Tobin each won two events to lead the St. Joseph girls swimming team to a 57-37 win over Pittsfield on Friday.
Bernardy won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:12.8 and the 100 breast stroke in 1:13.9.
Tobin won the 50 free (:26.6) and the 500 free (5:26.5
Bernardy and Tobin each also swam a leg on St. Joe's victorious 200 medley relay and 200 free relay quartets.
Pittsfield's Meagan Ellis won the 100 backstroke (1:15.5) and swam a leg on the Generals' winning 400 free relay squad.
Pittsfield won the boys meet, 65-27
Greg Fournier, Lucas Godwin and Liam Mooney each won two events for the Generals.
Fournier won 100 free (:57.0) and the 100 breast stroke (1:14.3). Godwin won the 500 free (5:44.3) and 100 back (1:04.7). Mooney won the 200 individual medley (2:28.9) and the 100 fly (:59.5).
