Zimmerman Leads Mount Greylock Golfers to Road Win

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Bennett Zimmerman carded a 44 on Thursday to lead the Mount Greylock golf team to a 183-188 win over Monument Mountain at Egremont Country Club.

 

Monument’s Max Joyner closed with a birdie on the ninth hole to cap a round of 39 to earn medalist honors.

 

Mount Greylock posted four scores in the 40s with Tenley Smith (45), Ben Gilooly (47) and Alexander Axt (47) backing up Zimmerman.

 

Noah Helmke carded a 47 for the Spartans.

 

Mount Greylock hosts Pittsfield on Friday. Monument goes to Lee on Tuesday.
