Mount Greylock Boys Lax Downs Lee

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Michael McCormack scored seven goals and assisted on three more to lead the Mount Greylock boys lacrosse team to a 16-8 win over Lee on Thursday evening.
 
Liam Chenail had a goal and four assists for the Mounties (2-0).
 
For the Wildcats, Emerson Walsky had a hat trick, and Adam Finnegan scored twice.
 
Mount Greylock led, 13-5, after three quarters, but Lee finished strong with a 3-3 final period.
 
"We still feel like we can do a lot better, but we're happy to come away with the win," Mount Greylock coach Brandon Asplundh said. "I can't say enough good things about Lee. They've improved incredibly from last year."
 
Cole Hughes scored twice, and Matt Malloy had a goal and two assists for the Mounties.
 
Cal Filson and Pat Storie again split time in goal, combining for 14 saves. Cam Forest stopped eight shots for Lee.
 
Mount Greylock travels to Connecticut's Fairfield Ludlowe High School on Saturday.
