Gilooly, Mount Greylock Boys Win Rematch with Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. -- Ben Gilooly carded a 4-over-par round of 40 on the back nine at Wahconah Country Club on Tuesday to lead the Mount Greylock golf team to a 174-182 win over Wahconah.

 

Kyle Alvarez backed him up with a 41, and Hunter Sarkis (46) and Bennett Zimmerman (47) scored for the Mounties (10-3, 6-3 Berkshire County North).

 

“Hats off to Mount Greylock,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “Scores are always high on our back nine, you need to dig in and be ready for a rough ride or it gets the best of you.

 

“Coach Brian Gill has done a great job. His team has a very nice energy and is very enjoyable to be around.”

 

Jon Dos Santos led Wahconah with a 41. Nate Dos Santos and Colette Basiliere each carded a 45, and Noah Bracci scored with a 51 for Wahconah.
