Gilooly, Alvarez Lead Mount Greylock Golf to Win

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Kyle Alvarez and Ben Gilooly each carded a 5-over-par round of 41 on the front nine at Waubeeka Golf Links Friday to lead the Mount Greylock golf team to a 180-194 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

Gilooly birdied the 167-yard par 3 third hole. Alvarez birdied No. 4, a 480-yard par 5.

 

Hoosc Valley's Henry Sniezek carded a birdie on the 176-yard, par 3 seventh on his way to the Hurricanes' best round, a 45.

 

Jack Sniezek carded a 46 for Hoosac (0-1)

 

Mount Greylock's other scorers were Bennett Zimmerman (47) and Tenley Smith (51).

 

The Mounties (1-0) host Pittsfield on Tuesday. Hoosac Valley plays at St. Joseph on Thursday.
