Track Teams Tune Up for Post-Season

DALTON, Mass. – Mount Greylock teammates Chase Hoey, Katherine Goss and Talia Kapiloff each was a double-winner on Saturday at the Berkshire County Distance Series at Wahconah Regional High School.

 

Athletes from Mount Greylock, Lenox, Pittsfield and Taconic participated at the meet, where no team scores were awarded.

 

Hoey won the high jump and long jump. Goss took first in the triple jump and pole vault, an event not normally contested in the county. And Kapiloff won the discus and shot put.

 

Mount Greylock’s Judge Martin was a double-winner in the throws on the boys side, taking first in the shot put and javelin.

 

Lenox’s Ian Bridges won the long jump and triple jump.

 

Taconic has one more dual meet, on Tuesday at Hoosac Valley.

 

Lenox, Mount Greylock and Pittsfield next will be in action back at Wahconah next Saturday for the county championships.
