Mount Greylock Boys, Girls Top Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Mount Greylock girls track and field team Wednesday had five double winners en route to a 121-20 dual meet win over Taconic.

 

Maggie Nichols swept the 100 meters and 200. Adriana Carasone won the 800 and the mile. Katherine Goss swept the hurdles. Chase Hoey won the high jump and the triple jump. And Lily Catelotti won the shot put and the discus for Mount Greylock.

 

Taconic’s lone win came in the 4-by-100 relay, where the quartet of Hannah Burke, Natalia Dos Santos, Audrey Harrington and Emma Daly finished first.

 

Mount Greylock also won the boys meet.

 

Mounties Chase Doyle and Dan Warren each came away with a pair of wins in the season opener.

 

Doyle won the 110 hurdles and the high jump. Warren leapt to victory in the long jump and won the discus.

 

Taconic’s Josh Stevens broke up a Mount Greylock sweep in the throws by winning the shot put. Anthony Trapani won the 200 and ran a leg on the Thunder’s winning 4-by-100 quartet.
